Coaching Hack – Scouting a New Team

Here’s a quick coaching hack you all might find useful. Often you will play a team you have never seen before, and it’s really useful to know who their best player(s) are. If it’s an away game, I always take a look at the scorebook, and flip back a few pages to see the scoring from previous games. You can quickly see who the big scorers are, especially three point shooters. Lacking the detailed analysis of Hoopsalytics for previous games, this isn’t a bad option.

Some opposing coaches will even bring their own book to your home games, which is a true gift!
