Update: Transition and Half-Court Shooting Details
You often hear coaches emphasizing “playing fast”. And Hoopsalytics now makes it easier to measure your transition and a half court shooting effectiveness, for both 2s and 3s.
To start, the Game Summary and Game Flow tools have an advanced view, where you can see breakdowns of the different shot types for both you and your opponents. (See the screenshot from the top of this article.)
You can also see the same breakdowns in individual player box scores. Here we can see transition (Trans), Half-court (HC), at-the-rim (ATR) and other shooting splits for my players:
As one of those coaches who likes to play fast, I am particularly fond of the 3-point shots in transition. And now you have the ability to see who’s effective in these different scenarios as well.
